Send your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org by 9/15. For each photo received, we will make a donation to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which our COO Regina Braga will participate in next month.
Meet our COO, Regina!
Regina Braga, MBA, has been at Res/Title since 2004. As COO, she is an expert problem solver and uses her mastery of operations to perfect the team’s daily workflow while focusing on compliance, security, SOC Audits, licensing, state by state guidelines, and overseeing the company’s growth and development.
This cause is important to Regina because her grandfather struggles with the disease. Alongside her family, she participates in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in honor of him.
“My grandfather was always one of the hardest working people I’ve ever known,” Regina said. “It was heartbreaking to watch this intelligent man struggle with everyday tasks. After all he has achieved, he now spends his day in a nursing home and is hardly communicative.”
Regina’s grandfather migrated to the US from Italy at 12 years old. From the moment he got here, he worked hard to understand and to be fluent in the language and culture. Determined to make a good life in the U.S., he served in the Army Reserves and started his own jewelry manufacturing company- which Regina’s father still runs today. When he began exhibiting signs of dementia about 6 years ago, it made a devastating impact on their family.
“When he sees his great grandchildren, my children and nieces and nephews, his face still lights up and we know that a part of our ‘Papa’ Or ‘Nonno’ is still there with us,” Regina explained.
About the End of
the Month for a Cause Program
Regina is the founder of our “End of the Month for a Cause” Program, which strives to create a positive outlook on our industry’s busiest time by choosing a staff member to profile and a monthly charity to fundraise for. She developed this program because the end of the month is a stressor for those in our industry.
“I wanted to change that mentality by turning it into a time to give back,” Regina explained. “Although we all have our moments of frustration during that time of month – – the bigger picture reminds us that we are lucky to be in the situations we are in — living life and working every day in this industry where no day is the same.”
Regina’s favorite part about her job is finding solutions to the most difficult of scenarios for our clients.
“There is such a sense of accomplishment when we are able to help borrowers get to the closing table in a smooth and streamlined process,” she explained.
Outside of Res/Title you can find Regina on adventures with her husband and two daughters.
Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia, causing problems with memory, thinking and behavior. There are more than 5.8 million Americans living with this disease, and this number is projected to rise to 14 million by 2050. It kills more than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined.
About the Walk to End Alzheimer’s
The Walk is annually in more than 600 communities nationwide. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
