Our Team’s Transition
In recent weeks Res/Title’s team has become 95% remote. Fortunately, our business model for the past several years has been to develop the advantages of remote work. Through our transition we have successfully developed the first in the nation Modified Closing Procedure with social distancing in mind. With the resources to handle all requests and closings remotely, our employees felt well prepared for this change. We have been able to efficiently adapt, while also enjoying the benefits that working remote has to offer!
Benefits of Working Remote
Although moving into a full-time remote role can pose it’s challenges, there have been many studies done to show the immense benefits of remote work for both employees and their companies.
Remote work has been proven to lead employees to be both more productive and have better performance. According to Forbes, “Teleworkers are an average of 35-40% more productive than their office counterparts, and have measured an output increase of at least 4.4%. Also, with stronger autonomy via location independence, workers produce results with 40% fewer quality defects.” By having a more flexible schedule and cutting out commute times, employees find that they have more time, often in a quieter space, to focus on their tasks. In turn, more productive and efficient employees leads to more profitable companies.
Tips for Working Remote
There are several ways to make your remote work experience more effective:
1) Maintain your regular working hours by setting a schedule that you habitually follow.
2) Keep an open line of communication with co-workers and clients, as you would working in an office. Several tools, such as GoToMeeting, can be very useful in maintaining effective communication.
3) Create a dedicated workspace where you feel most comfortable and focused.
4) Incorporate exercise into your daily routine. Daily exercise has been proven to reduce stress and increase energy levels.
